Dear Parents,
Our summer session features the traditional Carden Method and offers morning academic classes in reading, math, history, computers, foreign language, art and science. Afternoons will be filled with special activities in art, crafts, sports, drama, science and more. Optional swimming lessons may be offered for two weeks (first through eighth grades).
We are planning some exciting field trips for second through eighth grades, with proposed activities including a play, ice skating, and the circus, and Soak City ( for third through eighth grades). Kindergarten and first grade will only be going to the Circus. Along with the field trips we have included a science based assembly and a talent show.
Our six-week summer session runs from July 7th through August 15th. The cost of the full-day program (7 a.m. to 6 p.m.) is $1,200.00. The half-day program (8 a.m. to noon) is $840.00 for 6 weeks. There will be an extra charge for the swimming lessons (four days a week) and for the field trips. Please note, we do not provide hot lunches during the summer.
The children may wear casual dress and the special Carden Summer School T-shirts to all field trips. We hope to see many of our students during the summer for our fun-filled session! Children from preschool through eighth grades are welcome.
