JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Junior High Requirements

We need your help and full support to uphold the standards of Carden School which we believe are vital to your child's development. There must be a commitment by both the student and the family to the development of excellence in academics and character. We ask that the students adhere to the following basic requirements:

¥ Have respect for the highest standards of behavior.

¥ Maintain harmonious relationships with teachers, staff and fellow students.

¥ Strive for successful academic accomplishment and spiritual growth.

¥ Display polite and courteous behavior.

Rude attitudes or behavior toward adults or peers is not acceptable. Vulgarity of speech will not be tolerated. These standards will be carefully discussed with the students. Failure to adhere to these standards will result in the notification of parents that the student must be picked up and taken home. Repetition of this action may result in the student's final dismissal from Carden School.

We are very interested in developing your children to their full potential and hope you will join with us in reaching these behavioral goals. Thank you for your cooperation.

Report Cards

The schedule for grading will be as follows:

First quarter.................................November

Second quarter.............................January

Third quarter................................April

Fourth quarter..............................June

Absences

When ill, students will have approximately the same amount of days to make up their work as the number of days they were absent. If traveling, all work must be taken with students and will be due the day of their return. It will be the student's responsibility to find out what assignments will be missed. Excessive absences negatively affect student progress, and could result in dismissal from school.

Homework

Parent support of student growth in study skills and the regular completion of homework assignments are expected. Late homework will result in a lowered grade
