SCHOOL PROCEDURES

When a student arrives late for school, he or she must obtain a tardy slip at the office in order to be admitted to the classroom. Classroom instruction begins promptly at 8:00 a.m. for 4th through 8th grades, 8:30 a.m. for 1st through 3rd grades, and 9:00 a.m. for Kindergarten.

Please observe the "One Way" signs upon arrival and dismissal. A11 cars will enter from Richvale Street through the northern driveway and exit through the southern driveway. Please drive slowly and with extreme caution. Cars will line up for dismissal in two lanes stopping just past the office. Drivers must remain in their cars! In the morning, please do not park along the curb. That area is for dropping off only. If you wish to walk your child to class, you must park in a designated parking space.

Dismissal for Kindergarten is 2:30. Dismissal time for grades 1 through 5 is 3:00 (a late fee will be charged after that time). Grades 6-8 are dismissed at 3:20.

Please notify the school in person if there is to be a new person picking up your child.

During dismissal, please remain in your car until it is your turn. In the interest of safety, children enter the car on the side nearest the curb. It is the driver's responsibility to watch for crossing students and teachers. A teacher will walk your child to your car after you come to a complete stop. Thank you for your cooperation in this important safety measure.

1. ILLNESS

Please write a note to the teacher when your child returns to school. Sick children are to be kept home! If a student feels ill during the day, the teacher will send him or her to the office to lie down and the parent will be called. Please remember to keep the office informed of telephone number changes. Long-term injuries or serious illnesses require a doctor's note.
