Dear Carden Families, Alumni and Friends,
As we celebrate the 44th Anniversary of Carden School in Whittier, we cordially invite you to participate in the 1st Annual Carden Golf Classic on Monday, April 14, 2008. In Memory of Henry “Hank” Deguchi, we are proud to have
this inaugural Carden Golf Classic held at one of the finest private golf courses in Southern California, the Friendly Hills Country Club, located in Whittier. We will be extremely grateful if you would join us for what will certainly be a fun-filled day of golf, tee prizes, BBQ lunch, raffle and more.
The round of golf will be followed by an awards ceremony that will include appetizers, drinks and dessert, and silent auction of gift baskets donated by each of the classes at Carden. We will also be drawing the winning tickets for our raffle. Since winners need not be present, you can purchase your lucky raffle ticket and still win without playing or attending. This is our first golf tournament, and we are hopeful that with your participation we will enjoy great success that will be repeated in the years to come. The proceeds raised from this year’s tournament will be used to purchase needed school and playground equipment. Your participation in this event will help us to continue our fine tradition of “Excellence in Education.”
